Over the last two decades or so, the room that was just for making food and washing the plates that it was served on has become one of main entertaining areas of the house. In older homes, kitchens were behind closed doors and out of sight. In the contemporary home, kitchens have become a place to entertain and hang out and have earned their spot on a home’s VIP room list. With everyone trying to become their own professional chef, commercial grade appliances have moved into the homes of your average Joe and everything now is custom built.
No doubt over the next few days, many of us will find ourselves catching up with family and friends while making stuffing, carving the turkey or just grabbing a glass of wine. So, in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, Curbed profiled some of the fancy kitchens of famous celebrity chefs. Take a look at where they will be cooking tomorrow:
Starting off with our somewhat local celebrity chef – Guy Fieri, who hails from Santa Rosa is the host of Diners, Drive-ins and Dive and other shows on HGTV. His kitchen, of all the celebrity chefs, looks the most humble of all. With only 2 counter bar stools, he is obviously not putting on a show for his guests. And notice the water cooler on the left?
