HGTV’s hit show “Selling New York” is set to premiere on January 6. The show is set to go on its second season and profile how real estate agents cater to high-profile clientele. Celebrity or not, New York real estate agents are kings at dealing with the filthy rich.

FAMOUS FACES LIVING IN NEW YORK

As one of the few places where residents can hobnob with celebrities, famous faces such as Miranda Kerr, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Julianne Moore and many others live and love New York. Unlike California, residents walk in New York and don’t need to own or house a car to get where they’re going.

At 285 miles wide and about 330 miles in length, the city of New York isn’t massive but still manages to attract celebrities of Hollywood and those who see themselves as a celebrity in their own right.

MEETING DEMANDS OF CELEBRITY CLIENTELE

“I had a celebrity client who insisted on eating dinner in every apartment he liked so he could imagine what it would feel like to live there,” top NY real estate agent Michelle Kleier told The New York Post. “He would make me call each owner and ask them to be out of their apartment. Then we’d head over, order in takeout and sit at the kitchen table. We did that at least 20 times.”

Stories like Kleier’s will be documented on HGTV’s second-time launch of “Selling New York” and include advice from “Selling New York” famous face Maggie Kent.
