Summer is right around the corner and sales are definitely picking up. The number of homes that sold in Irvine, Orange County for the month of January 2009 was 77.  The number of homes that sold in the month of April 2009 was 131!  That’s almost double!!

Where are these sales coming from?  Well 18 of those homes were Bank Owned Foreclosures; 24 of them were Short Sales; and the remaining 89 that sold, were standard re-sales.  Wow….89 homes were standard re-sales?  It almost makes me wonder if the listings are accurately input into the MLS.  That means that 68% of all homes that sold in the month of April were standard sales.   Ask any busy agent and they will definitely tell you otherwise!  My team and I show anywhere from 15 to 20 homes everyday, and it really feels like 68% of all homes are short sales……

Well lets focus on the good news……Sales are definitely picking up!
