Don’t wait to apply for your $8,000 Federal Tax credit if you’ve already closed escrow!

If you have recently purchased a home in Irvine, California and qualify for the $8,000 Federal Tax credit, you may not have to wait to apply for the credit.  I am in no way an expert in the Tax field, however it has come to my attention that you can apply for an Amended U.S. Income Tax Return, simply to request this credit(even after your taxes have been filed).  It’s worth checking with your licensed CPA to verify this.

You are better off securing this credit now before the government starts giving IOU’s instead of the actual credit!  Who knows what will happen.
