Actor Dennis Quaid has placed his Pacific Palisades, CA home on the market at $16.9 million.
The 56-year-old Houston born actor is selling his 2-acre equestrian estate to move back to Texas to be closer to his family, according to Zillow Blog.
After purchasing then a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home in 1999, which he reportedly paid $1,830,000 for, Quaid had turned it into a luxurious equestrian estate that includes a French country-style main house, a guest house, a studio, and a barn. A corral site and private hiking trail to Will Rogers State Park are additional features also part of the property.
There is a gourmet kitchen, gym converted from a maids quarters above the kitchen, family room, formal dining room, office, wine cellar and covered loggia with a fireplace overlooking the swimming pool and spa.
Quaid is known for his roles as Mike Brody in Jaws 3-D (1983), Bowen in Dragonheart (1996), and Jack Hall in The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and Reverend Shaw Moore in Footloose (2011).
